"Mrry Crstm4z!"

Monday - December 24, 2007

[Piro] - 13:03:10 - [link here]

Once again, it's hard to believe that it's been over a year since Seraphim and I posted a ph33rbot Christmas over on YouTube... obvlously, we have not had the time to do a followup to the animatronic dancing cardboard army of doom. :P It's been quite a year for us, and in spite of some of creative issues, i think it's been a good one. Obviously, we've been focusing on Jack's first Christmas for the past week or so, and he's been going through a period of demanding an awful lot of attention... but i understand that babies sorta do this. :)

I just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, and all the best to you and those close to you. It's going to be a very interesting year next year, as i branch out into some new projects... that said, two comics per week for this week and next, and then I'll jump right into the new year and see if i can get this schedule thing licked once and for all.

Thank you again for your support, and best wishes for a happy new year!

"Leftover Debris"

My new desktop is assembled, and most programs I consider essential have been installed on it, from Microsoft Word to Spybot and Thunderbird.  The one exception is Adobe Photoshop, which I don't yet own a legal copy of - so, I'm going to fix that one way or another over the next week or so.

I managed to catch up on most of my e-mail today, and according to many of my readers, I didn't need to replace my desktop at all, but it was most likely a network or video card problem.  Having spent the better part of 3 weeks getting this new box up and running, this wasn't much help.  On the plus side, I am now working with an Intel Core 2 Duo box, complete with a giant SATA hard drive and two nice-looking new monitors (I would've made it a three-monitor setup, but my desk isn't big enough on account of all the toys). So,I don't really regret tossing the baby out with the bathwater, because I got an all-new baby instead.

In other news, yesterday was lunch with the extended family, and one of my cousins asked me about MegaTokyo because her daughter is at the age where "everything from Japan is cool."  I have no problems with this beyond a bit of self-consciousness at MT coming up at the table, but I do feel obligated to draft this paragraph as a disclaimer for any of my nieces who end up reading this site:

Hi, Shannon, and welcome to MegaTokyo!  Please ignore anything your Uncle Chicken writes about pornography, it's all a joke and you shouldn't believe anything he says.  Tell your mom that your uncle is a good, innocent Catholic boy who just likes to make silly jokes online and is in no way whatsoever a bad influence on you.

Please?
