"Goodbye old buddy"

Sunday - September 20, 2015

[Piro] - 10:51:35 - [link here]

My cat Moofie, who was a regular visitor to my twitch drawing feed and a regular companion of mine since 2001 passed away Wednesday. I started this drawing on Monday after i took Moofie to the vet hospital. I launched into it as a fund raiser to help with the cost of his care, and when i finished the pencil drawing the word from the vet was he was doing ok. Unfortunately, by the end of the day Wednesday we were with him when he passed away.

When faced with finishing this drawing, which had changed from a drawing of hope for his recovery to a drawing in memory of him, I added our three other cats that we have lost over the past three years - Momo, Hime and Shmooly, and then added a Halo for Moofie himself. It’s... an established thing in Megatokyo, after all.

Why i drew Kimiko petting Moofie I really dont know. It’s just what came out. I have decided to keep these drawings in memory of not only moofie, but the others i’ve lost.

Thank you to everyone who has offered their support and kind words this past week. It helped me get through a difficult week. Thank you.

"The Fire Fox has Arrived!"

The Fire Fox has arrived!

Volume 3 of the MegaTokyo: Endgames series is available for sale!

Yeah, the launch of the third book has been a bit wonky this time around. Which is kinda irritating considering how smooth Dire Water launched. But, I suppose if the release date has to be borked, it's far better for it to be early than it is to be late.

In the first two books, I try some different story-telling methods (Tower of Kartage_was meant to read a bit like a slice-of-life journal, while Dire Water_was more my "natural" style), and for Fire Fox, I again dip into a slightly different storytelling method. It really is more like nine short stories that connect to one general narrative arc rather than a single story line.

But honestly, to me, it feels like the best one yet in terms of strength of the tales themselves. Sunay's life really works well in this way, as her adventures are more spread out over the years, as well as allowing readers to see how the world changes over the years.

As always, for those who want the paperback or Kindle versions, follow this link!

But don't worry, Nook users, there's love for you as well when you click here!
